Working out has always been a chore for some because sometimes we are too busy, we don’t have time to do it or we’re just too lazy to exercise. Whatever the reason we need exercise to be engaging and fun so that we will keep on exercising.
Virtual Reality Exercise Bikes will make your exercise more challenging and fun because it takes the person into another world without leaving the comfort of his home.
When exercise becomes monotonous, specially on a stationary bike, we need a different scenario to bring novelty to the task. This is specially applicable when it is winter or there is bad weather that you just can’t go outside to exercise.
VirZoom- Is a company that produces VR bikes that incorporate games into stationary biking, so far they are the most affordable VR bike right now and they have games to choose from.
Isn’t it great if you can have a choice of environment to make everything fresh depending on your mood? VirZoom offers a variety of games – for those who like war games they offer Tank: Winterstan and Tank: Thunder Bowl and Chopper: River Run for those who love fighting in the air and dodging missiles.
You can also play cowboy and lasso bandits to get them off their horses and gain points in Cowboy: Jailbreak! This one will get you sweating without realizing it.
Kayak: Lotus Pond is where you ride a paddle kayak and collect ducks or herd them towards grandma so that granny can feed them, as silly as the game is it is a good break from other games, it has great calming effect like you were really in natural environment or at least you feel like you were.
Cycle: Le tour. Zoom past other bikers in this a la Tour de france set up. Your speed will depend of course on how fast you pedal. The great thing about this is the scenery – it is really like the french country side with the sunshine and all plus you are usually faster than the average pedalist on the road with minimum effort. It’s like you’re on steroids haha…
Racecar: An F1 racing game where you are a dog driving a race car. Why a dog? Why not a cat? I don’t know why the creators put a dog in there. Anyway, it is the usual racing game where the faster you paddle the faster the car goes of course.
Tank: blow up other tanks while you are paddling your tank and destroy as many tanks as possible to get points. Can be played solo and multiplayer. A classic tank game, nothing flashy but at least it keeps you paddling and eventually sweating which is the whole point of the game.
Chopper: River Run: Collect fuel and shoot at enemy missile battery stations and dodge missiles while navigating a river canyon , also, an occasional battleship will appear to shoot at. So far this one is very engaging that you forget your legs are on fire and you’re breaking a sweat.
Pegasus: Somehow flying on a winged horse is very exhilarating, now if only they can improve the graphics it would be even more realistic. The height and depth would have provided the flying effect experience more virtual.
So far the last two games are the favorites. The company is planning to release more games and enhancements in the future. Overall the games will keep you exercising, an additional motivation to keep moving your butt.
Oh, and by the way, this is compatible withe the latest VR headsets: Samsung Gear VR, Oculus Rift, HTC Vibe, Playstation VR.

The company also has a variety of sceneries or worlds to choose from so you don’t have to get stuck in the same virtual reality world. Hopefully more will be added in the future.
