What is the difference between Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality?
You may ask what is the difference between Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality? Virtual Reality, simply put, is simulated computer-generated images experienced in a three dimension by a person with the help of virtual reality gears. It is the immersion in a computer-generated environment with the feeling of being part of such environment.
Virtual Reality gives the user a sense of being one with the simulated environment and sometimes, in more advanced VR equipments, it engages all the five senses which can greatly enhance the experience.
Augmented reality is the overlaying or superimposing of computer-generated images into a real world environment in order to enhance it.
The application of augmented reality can be applied to almost any fixture in the real world and in the future the whole world is going to be a stage for any thing and will change the lives and comfort of everybody using this emerging technology.
Virtual Reality lets you step into a whole different world, a conceptualized location, or sometimes gives you a recreation of an identical place in the real world. Augmented Reality, however, is only applied to the place where a person is currently present, unless future technology permits, but let us not get ahead of ourselves here.
